Certain occupations lead people into contact with human trafficking victims more often than others.

Educating yourself and your co-workers can lead to trafficking cases being reported more often.

ARE YOU A TRUCK DRIVER?

As trafficking victims, children especially, are being moved between locations it is not uncommon for them to be instructed to approach and offer themselves to drivers at truck stops. The secluded areas and solo travelers have created an sub-industry in the sex trafficking trade. But truck drivers have recreated their reputation as buyers and are known now for their advocacy against slavery. Many stories are available of victims saved because a truck driver reported suspicious or flat out illegal behavior at truck stops. Be sure to know the signs of human trafficking and consider connecting with Truckers Against Trafficking, one of the most renowned anti-trafficking organizations.
